Strong Bonds

Strong Bonds is a chaplain-led program which assists commanders in building individual resiliency by strengthening the Army and Air Force Family. They offer retreats and workshops throughout the state for military families.

Camp American Legion

Provides rest, relaxation, recuperation, and rehabilitation to Wisconsin veterans of all ages, active duty military service members and their families.  Camp serves those who have a physical or psychological medical condition, any and all types of service and non-service related illnesses, injuries or disabilities.

National Guard Family Program

Facilitates ongoing communication, involvement, support and recognition between families and the service member in a partnership that promote the best in both. The Family Program works with the Family Readiness Group and Key Volunteer programs to promote family readiness in all stages of the deployment cycle.

Reconnects military families at therapeutic retreats that build a healthy spirit and strong family bonds. Families attend 6 day/5 night retreats at no cost to them. Mayslake Ministries Veterans Retreat

Christian program that offers free retreats designed to help military men and women come to spiritual healing and reconciliation with God, themselves and with one another.  Also offers free spiritual support groups and spiritual direction for spouses and family members while they wait for their loved one to return. Retreats are held in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Military OneSource is a confidential Department of Defense-funded program providing comprehensive information on every aspect of military life at no cost to active duty, National Guard, and reserve members, and their families.
Information includes, but is not limited to, deployment, reunion, relationships, grief, spouse employment and education, parenting and childhood services. It is a virtual extension to installation services.

VFW National Home for Children

This unique community, located in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, provides housing and services for military or veteran families that need to recover from crisis, find stability, or deal with life’s challenges. The National Home’s community is open to families of active-duty military personnel, veterans and – recognizing that the effects of war can last for generations – descendants of members of the VFW and its Auxiliary. The family can be one or both parents with one or more children.

H.O.O.A.H. Wisconsin

4th H.O.O.A.H. Wisconsin provides support for forward deployed service members and their families, as well as returning veterans. They offer support in several capacities, including service dogs, covering burial costs for the family of a service member that passed away, assistance for a soldier when his house burned the day after he returned from deployment, social opportunities, and more.
